Gardening and sweet pebbles x x

Bonjour my loves.

I've actually managed to get the gardening done this week, I've dodged the rain drops and succeeded in getting it all neat and tidy :)
I feel the garden is looking better than it has ever done, so full and luscious and green......

Unfortunately there isn't a great deal of colour. Most of our plants flowered early during the hot weather in May!!
The Sunflowers are just beginning to open though....

I love Sunflowers. Gavin planted a bunch of them all together just behind our Apple Tree.....

They will look fab once they open, they're just beginning to x
I really wanted to show this gorgeous Rose Tremiere. We collected the seeds from plants in France last year.....

They are sooo tall and beautiful. The flowers start opening at the bottom and as they die more flowers open further up.
Let's have another look at our baby Apple Tree, Gav rescued it from work. We didn't think we'd get apples this year.....

They apples look so healthy, yummy yum :)

This week I have been messing around with these.....

pebbles of different shapes and sizes. I've been bringing them into the house and giving them a good scrub.
I've then added a bit of......
Planet Penny's cotton into the mix and I came up with these little beauties......

Brightly coloured Sea Urchin paper weights or just plain old decorations. And to be honest they're not all Sea Urchin's are they?!

A lovely blue star paper weight. This one is being given as a gift.
Also.....

A lovely turquoise Sea Urchin. And.....
A pretty red flower. And....

A beautiful green Sea Urchin, another gift (I hope you like it x). Also....

A pretty pink flower. This one is my favourite as the pebble has flecks of pink in it. Also....

A bright orange Sea Urchin.

These lovely little pebbles are highly addictive and very quick and easy and I think I will be making lot's more ;)

I have also started Gav's blanket. He insisted on a blanket Paul Smith stylee. What do you think?

I think the colours look great together. It is 201 chains long ( I'm not sure where the 1 came from!!!!) and is made up of rows of trebles. I thought I'd get bored with a plain old stripe but it's actually very relaxing and therapeutic.
Well my loves I've lot's of little jobs to get done and I'm in need of a cuppa so it's time for me to say.

  Au revoir and happy crochet x x x x x x x x
