Hello my loves.

This is going to be my shortest blog ever. I'm on a new strict diet that's making me feel really yukky and I soooo need my bed.
I've been very busy this week with paper work, last night was the first night in a long time I've not picked up my hook. I think tonight may be the same :(

Over the weekend I finished the crochet order I have. The last item was......
A lovely cushion in the most wonderful colours. I've added my hand made with love heart. Do you want to see more?

Taa, Daaaa. I love it. Do you want to see the back?

How fab. One more pic, I don't like to waste them when I've taken them........
And there you have it my loves, not like me at all really. I hope I have more to share with you next week.

I'm off up the wooden hill, without coffee - boooo. The new diet is caffeine free, that might explain my headaches!!!

Good night my loves and happy crocheting x x x x

And The Winner Is....... x x

Hello my loves.

Here we are again, another week has passed us by and what a marvellous week it's been.

Saturday we returned to sunny London to buy Charlies wand from Hamleys....
It was very busy, as busy as it was when we visited before Christmas for Daisy.

First stop as always when we visit London has to be Covent Garden....

I just love it there. A few years ago I sat next to Mick Jagger in my favourite cafe. (My fringe looks dreadful in this pic!!).
Can't forget the boys.....

Our first coffee of the morning. I think the boys are feeling a bit chilly!

Okay, whilst in Covent Garden of course I made a visit to Cath Kidston. I was going to buy myself a new bag ready for the Spring but couldn't find one I liked. I did however buy these.....
A metal tin of pins and small owl scissors!!!!!!! Well I just had to buy something!!

We decided to walk to Buckingham Palace, the children haven't been before. They were so excited......

And couldn't believe the guards held guns.

We watched them march up and down for a bit before heading over to The Natural History Museum.

We were shattered when we got home after all that walking and riding the tubes. We shall return soon x

On to the crochet then. I have created this....

Lovely little birdie. And sooo easy.
The pattern came from....

This gorgeous book. Made especially for me I'm sure. It's full of lovely little creatures you make from the marvellous creative cotton.

I've also been very busy with the order I'm completing for a nice lady. This week I finished...

The floral tea-cosy out of the Cute and Easy crochet book by Nikki Trench.

And I started this...

A cushion for the same lady. This pic does not do the cushion justice. The colours are sooo vibrant..honest. I must remember to take pics in day light!!

And this my loves.....

Is going to be the back. Another dull pic (sorry!!). A few more rows to add. I'll join them using cream and then I'll add funky buttons x

Sunday the sun was shining. It looked glorious, so I decided to do a spot of gardening. The crocus looked fab.....
However.......I didn't realise how chilly it was so didn't stay out long!! Also there are so many shoots coming through I didn't want to disturb them. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :)

Are you ready then guys? It's time for the (drum roll please........) give away, yeah !!!!!!!

And the winner is......

Congratulations you lucky lady, you've just won yourself some out of stock everywhere, pink creative cotton plus other gifts x x x  Please e.mail me your address so I can send you your lovely parcel :)

Must get on with crochet my loves, I'm having withdrawel symptoms!!!!! Too much paper work just lately- boooo. Tee, hee. I love it really ;)

Night night my loves and happy crocheting x x x

Happy Valentines x x

Good afternoon my loves and Happy Valentines.

I hope you all received lovely gifts and cards.....I did :)
I'm creating  this blog early as it's half term and of course it's Valentines and I'll be busy later. Enjoying a lovely meal, cooked by Gav, can't wait x x

I think I've mentioned a few times we're doing up our kitchen. Well Saturday I decided to clear out the cupboards and take some stuff up to the charity shop. Why is it when we buy a new set of wine glasses we save the old set .....just in case. Just in case of what I ask you!!!!! We also had a hundred pint glasses acquired from our student days!
Whilst in the charity shop I spotted this....

 marvellous 4 ply green yarn.......

Looks pretty good huh. Not sure what I'll do with it yet. Did I ever tell you green was my favourite colour?

Saturday afternoon chores done, children happy I started on these...

And by 9 o'clock had turned them into these....

Little Roses to go on an order for a tea cosy. I'm hoping to get them sewn on later.

Sunday we all felt very wary so decided on a DVD afternoon. Gav and Charlie completed Lego projects and Daisy and I sat snuggled. First we watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and then Annie, singing all the way through... good job we're detached!!
Whilst sat snuggled I made these.....

Yummy, scrummy hearts....

I love, love, love these colours together. These hearts are for a made to measure order I've received.
Would you like to see them finished?....

Sooo pleased with these and have had lot's of positive comments from pals. This is the longest string of hearts I've made. With 19 hearts in total....

Stacks of Granny and heart goodness x

Monday was Charlie's 8th Birthday, where does the time go? Gav took the day off work and we took the children........

You guessed it.
It was such great fun. I won't tell you who won...wouldn't want you to think I was bragging or anything..tee, hee x x
We followed the bowling with a meal in town for lunch. In the evening we had the family over for tea.

This week I've also been busy using up my scraps of yarn and have made this...

His name is Austin the owl. I can't actually remember where I found him! I will search through my favourites and let you know next week. He is a cutie and takes about two minutes... honest.

I re-read my blog after I'd published it last week and was slightly embarrassed by my give away, stingy or what!!! So I've added more.......

My give away is now, a titchy purse clasp, a button making kit, a Peony brooch made by moi, an apple pin cushion and four..yes four balls of creative cotton all of the new shades will be yours. All you have to do is become a follower, easy peasy.
I'm now going to draw the winner on the 21st Feb, the 28th is too far away (and I can't wait!!).

Enjoy the rest of Valentines Day my loves.

Happy crocheting x x x x x

P.S Thank you all for your support and lovely comments, it means a lot x x
P.P.S I'm missing my crochet pal, hope your feekling better x x

Good Things Come To Those That Wait x x

Hello my loves.

I'm most excited this week!! You guessed it, the new colours of creative cotton are in, Hoorah, Hoorah!!

The colours are so fabulous. Would you like to see?.....
I've waited sooo long for it to arrive and went a bit bonkers with my purchase!! In fact I very nearly bought the lot! I've already started using it as you can see from the gaps in the bags.
Let's have another pic....
How absolutely scrumptious is the pink, not to mention the other colours.

I could not wait to use the pink, as you can imagine! So the first item to be created from it was this....

A lovely little purse...

The pattern came from Inside Crochet magazine, issue 7. The inner is also crocheted (forgot to take a pic of that!!).

And then I started an order for a lovely lady. The first Item is this yummy bunting...

These colours are just perfect together, I love it (I hope you do x). I've always liked the multi-coloured  granny bunting I have in my folksy shop. But now think once my kitchen is complete I may hang some in this colour x

I still have a few more items to make for this lady. I'll share more with you next week :)

I 've also completed a little mouse....

He's from a book called Amigurumi by Lan-anh Bui and Josephine Wan.

Okay my loves it's time for my give away. I'm quite excited by this, I've not had a give away before.
Up for grabs is......
A peony brooch, hand made with love by moi, a button making pack, a clasp for a titchy purse, an apple pin cushion and  a ball of my yummy pink creative cotton (if I can part with it tee hee!!).

All you have to do is be a follower. It's as easy as that! The winner will be drawn on 28th Feb so good luck my loves x

I'm off  to put on some socks, my feet are freezing!! Coffee is also required to help me stay up a while to create.

Night night for now and happy crocheting x x x x x x

P.s I've had a message on my blog from Rachel to say she was visiting my blog after seeing it in Lets Create Magazine or Let's Get Creating Magazine. Is this for real? If anyone has a copy I'd love to see it x x
